Tips To Buying Virgin Hair Online
Hi it's Femi here,
So let's talk about what you should be looking for when it comes to buying hair online, especially when it comes to buying virgin hair. These are features I actually was looking for when I started Femi S. Hair since I want to make sure I provide to best level of quality from my company.
Does The Hair Have Longevity?
So first thing, that you should look for that should be number one is longevity. The hair should last at least one to two years. You don't want to keep repurchasing hair over and over and over again. If you have to repurchase hair after three months of wearing it, then most likely it was not virgin or low quality hair. And if the company stated that it was "virgin" then most likely the company was lying. Okay, so don't buy from them. Again! There's been plenty of times I purchased hair from various companies in past, years ago from place online like AliExpress. And after just one wear for about two or three weeks, I had to throw the hair out because it was trash. The hair would always start tangling and matting in the back like crazy. So if you have to keep repurchasing hair every couple of months, then that's a red flag. Most likely the hair is "Remy" hair and not virgin hair.
Does The Hair Have A Natural Shine?
Also, you want your hair to have luster. You want it to have a natural shine. You don't want it to look all dry because there's times where I purchased hair and it and the ends would get extremely dry and you don't want that. That is a sign that the cuticles of the hair have most likely been lifted when the hair was processed. In that case the hair is "Remy" hair and not virgin hair. It has been through and acid bath and not steamed processed. Once the hair has been through and acid bath the cuticle have been lifted and the hair is more susceptible to getting dry and matted over time.
Can The Hair Tolerate Color?
You also want to know if the hair can tolerate color. The hair color should be able to lift and turn blonde when it is dyed with developer and bleach. Once it is blonde can the color of your choice deposit on the hair? You want to know if the hair easily dries out? Is it going to get tangled? Is it going to get matted? If so, then that's a red flag. But also remember you are handling "REAL VIRGIN HAIR", so if you don't have experience dying hair I recommend going to. professional since you don't want to ruin your extensions.
Does The Hair Smell?
Also, you don't want to hair the smell like corn chips. There's been plenty of times I purchased hair online and as soon as I take it out the pack it stunk! And I remember there was this one company I purchased here from years ago, no matter how many times I would actually wash it hair, it would still smell. smh If you have purchased virgin hair online from the past then you know the exact smell I am talking about. So you don't want the hair to smell. It's an unpleasant experience and a sign that the hair was drenched in chemicals.
